Wow. Just wow.

Dr Austin Houldsworth is a double graduate of the Royal College of Art and fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He describes himself as an interdisciplinary design practitioner, researcher and educator with a focus on critical and speculative design practice.
He is a Product Design lecturer at Huddersfield University, associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, visiting lecturer at University of Chester and the Royal College of Art.
He built the world's first prototype human fossilisation machine and recently founded the Intergalactic Space Agency at the Eden Project.
In his spare time (god knows where he finds it...) Houldsworth runs Ahaaa- a design consultancy that works with industry to develop and run design competitions such as the 'Creative Insight Awards' for Worldpay.
The lecture was definitely informative. It offered an insight into what can be achieved within our discipline, and what the necessary steps are to get there.
